Cataract Surgeries 2020

Light of the Ummah Foundation with support from Abdullah Aid UK and in collaboration with Sight Boost Initiative, Kano conducted a free Eye Cataract Surgery Project, which catered to 200 less privileged individuals affected by Eye Cataracts.

This project was done in Kano and Katsina.

Wheelchair Distribution

Light of the Ummah with support from Abdullah Aid UK distributed wheelchairs to the physically challenged and hospitals in Kano, Katsina, Abuja, Yobe, Kogi, Sokoto, Kebbi, Maiduguri.

Ramadan Feeding

This is a yearly program. Over 500 families in Tungan Mage Village, Wasa IDP Camp FCT, Karmajiji IDP Camp FCT and Kano directly benefited from this years ramadan food distribution. 

IDP Empowerment

A regular activity of LOTU is to reach Internally Displaced Peoples camps in areas around Abuja and organise empowerment projects for the men and women. 

EID for Orphans

The #EIDforOrphans project extended to about 3 orphanages around the FCT and affected 30 Orphans. The happy and excited faces on the children were priceless when they received sewed clothing and materials to celebrate the EID.

IDP Releif

In 2017, As part of our 2017 calendar activities, your donations were also used for renovation of 9 Blocks of Islamiyya and a Mosque at Wassa IDP camp and buying of Books and other study material. Abuja.
